Prof Jonathan Long Sport in Art, Art in Sport Report on Seminar 1 at The National Football Museum June 2016 featured on The Leisure Studies Blog

Stephen Shone Film screened at Seminar one on 28th June 2016 Bradford: A City United (password city united) In 2013 Bradford City reached the final of the Capital One Cup. I decided to find a group of Bradfordians of South Asian heritage who were going the the Final. Having met Anwar Musa and his family through other Bradford fans,  my son and myself made a film to document both their day out and their hopes for the future of football in the City.

It seems that the biggest issue for the Asian fans is having a local born player of Indian/Pakistani heritage to cheer on. That said, there aren’t too many local white players either. The Musa family and friends tell us about what it is like to support their local team and are extremely proud of the city which is their home.
